APPLIES TO MODEL 1 AND 2 EMBOSSERS

The specific method varies slightly depending on the version of Windows.

From Start Menu choose Settings

Choose Printers

Tab to or double click on Add New Printer

Tab to or Click Next

Either choose Local (if the printer is connected directly to your PC) - clear the checkbox to Automatically detect and install my Plug & Play printer

Or choose Network (if the printer is connected to another PC on the network)

Tab to or Click Next

Select the Port - usually LPT1 or COM1 for local printers

Tab to or Click Next

Choose Generic from the list of Manufacturers

Choose Generic/Text Only from the list of printers

Tab to or Click Next

Type in a Printer name - Basic S or Embosser or similar and choose No to Do you want your Windows based programs to use the printer as the default printer?

Tab to or Click Next

Choose No to Do you want to print a test page?

Tab to or Click Next

Click Finish
