If the document language is not set to English UK, the Braille translation process will use the langauge tags it finds in the Word document.  To ensure the whole file is in English UK, do the following: -

FOR OFFICE 2000 AND OFFICE 2003

Select the whole document using CTRL + A
On the Tools Menu in Word, select Language
From the drop down list choose English UK
Save the document
Translate the document into Braille Maker
Check in the Braille Maker Editor to make sure the Braille is now grade 2

FOR OFFICE 2007

Select the whole document using CTRL + A
From the ribbon choose the Review tab
Under Proofing choose Set Language
Choose English UK
Save the document
Translate the document into Braille Maker
Check in the Braille Maker Editor to make sure the Braille is now grade 2

HYPERLINKS

If a document contains hyperlinks, they will be translated into grade 1 Braille by Braille Maker.
To remove all hyperlinks from a document, but retain the text, use the following in Office 2000, Office 2003 and Office 2007: -

Select all the text using CTRL + A
Then hold down CTRL and SHIFT and press F9
Save the file

When the file is translated into Braille, the text that was a hyperlink will now translate into grade 2 Braille.
