Braille and Moon do not appear as an option on the File Menu or Ribbon in Office 2007, how can I fix this?

APPLIES TO BRAILLE MAKER FOR WINDOWS AND BRAILLE MAKER PROFESSIONAL

This can happen when one of the Office applications is open during the installation of Braille Maker.  Locate the Braille Maker folder, which by default is in

c:\bmwin or c:\bmpw for older versions and
c:\program files\seeing differently\bmwin or
c:\program files\seeing differently\bmwin for current versions.

Make sure ALL Office applications are closed and from the Braille Maker folder, run ADDMACRO.EXE

This will install the template and macro required for these items to be added to the appropriate menu or ribbon in Office 2007.

Very occasionally, due to PC or Network security, this installaiton fails and ADDMACRO.EXE stops responding.  If this happens, stop ADDMACRO.EXE by going into Task Manager.

The Word template will have to be copied manually.  Locate the Braille Maker folder (see above for path).
There are two templates, one is BMW.DOT and the other is BMW.DOTM.

If you are using any version of Microsoft Office EXCEPT Office 2007, copy BMW.DOT into the following location: -

c:\documents and settings\username\application data\microsoft\word\startup

Where username is the login name for the user.

For Office 2007, copy BMW.DOTM into the following location: -

username/appdata/roaming/Microsoft/word/startup

Where username is the login name for the user.
