How do you calibrate the paper sensor on an Index Everest version III Braille Embosser?
Following a paper jam, the Everest may not feed paper correctly, or may emboss part of a page then report 'Out Of Paper'.
1). On the Embosser control panel, press the Help Key (marked HE in Braille) quickly followed by the Group Key (marked GR in Braille). The embosser will echo the current calibration value.
2). Place a sheet of paper IN FRONT of the two rubber rollers of the sheet feeder.
3). Press the Setup Key (marked SU in Braille). The embosser will echo three values, all should be different. It will then feed the sheet of paper through. This has calibrated the paper sensor and the paper should now feed correctly.
If you have any problems, please call DotLine on 0844 500 7091. Please have the serial number of the embosser to hand.
