Why does the Braille and Moon option disappear from the File menu in Word?

APPLIES TO ALL VERSIONS OF BRAILLE MAKER

This usually only occurs on networked systems, and it is caused by the user profile not being updated when the user logs out.  Even if roaming profiles are not being used, the user profile may not be saved by the system when the user logs out.
The solution is to ensure the user profile is saved once the additonal options have been added to the file menu.

On the Tools Menu in Word, look under Templates and Add-ins and check to see if BMW.DOT is listed, and that there is a tick next to it in the check box.  If it is not ticked, tab to or click on the check box and tick it.
Close Word and re-open it and the additonal options will be on the File menu.

If BMW.DOT isn't listed under Templates and Add-ins, close Word and all other Microsoft Office applications.
Go into My Computer and locate the Braille Maker folder
In that folder, locate ADDMACRO.EXE and run it.

Open Word and the options will be on the File menu.

If the above doesn't work, please call DotLine on 0844 500 7099.
